Hello, we’re Jo & Kev Buchan,

We’re therapists trained to master level and personally mentored by physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert in his methodology. We’ve worked with thousands of clients over the years and what’s important to us is we treat the person as a whole, not just a set of symptoms or a diagnosis. Any test results are a snapshot of that moment in time and we believe you can change and even reverse your symptoms. You are not your diagnosis, you are UNIQUE and have the power to completely change your lifestyle and reverse your symptoms. 


Working with clients we view you in a holistic way that means we treat the whole person, taking into account mental, emotional, environmental, seasonal factors rather than just the symptoms of a disease. The cause of a disease can be completely different even with someone who has the same symptoms. Our DNA and lifestyles are unique; jobs, hobbies, relationships, stress, family. 


You have the power to change your symptoms, to relieve pain and imbalances.  With our Method, we provide you will all the tools you need. 

We’re limited in the number of clients we can treat in person, this membership allows you to connect with us in a way that’s more affordable.

Our mission is for you to reverse your symptoms without the use of pharmaceuticals or relying on painkillers. But it starts with you making the decision to get better, to commit time to yourself, to make yourself a priority. Dive into the class library and find a class thats right for you, choose by body part, time available, focus or class style. You’ll find a class thats fits your needs. If you love the class hit the favourite button and it will be saved for you to practice whenever you want.

Once a month we look at a specific posture, how to practice in a way that’s right for YOUR UNIQUE body. Forget social media images of postures. Our bodies are truly unique; we have different length of arms, legs, torso, even the shape of our hip sockets are unique. Instead of focussing on how the posture should LOOK, I’ll teach you to FEEL whats right for your unique body, especially if you’re working with an injury.

Create a consistent practice with this 21-day challenge, each class is 20-30 minutes per day to make a daily practice sustainable.


Rest is undervalued and put to the very bottom of our to do list. When in fact proper REST is essential to our wellbeing.

My superpower is helping you to understand your unique qualities and highlight areas that no one thought to look at. You already have answers within you, and I’ll help you to uncover them. Yoga is one method to help you reach your goals whether that be to overcome injury or illness, face your fear and learn a specific yoga posture.

I use my experience in sport, coaching, injury and various modalities (Kinetic Chain Release, Connective Tissue Release, Massage, mobilisations, stretching, marma points (trigger points), cupping, postural energetics and Hawaiian techniques) to give you the best chance of recovery. Keep yourself pain-free and on the right track whether it be a course of treatment or monthly maintenance.

The membership includes classes in Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. My approach to teaching yoga is to teach from a nurturing and holistic perspective, covering all elements of yoga (postures, breathwork, meditation, philosophy) along with teaching Ayurveda. I offer a variety of options for postures, understanding that the practice will feel different for everybody.

The Strength & Soul Method is a recurrent membership subscription. You can choose the type of subscription Monthly, Seasonal, Yearly. Joining Seasonally or Yearly will save you money and encourage you to make the commitment to yourself. 

If you are under consultants post-operative care then please check with them as they have their own post-operative procedures. If you have an injury our method can help reduce and relieve pain. 


The plan is safe and effective to maintain stiffness and strength during recovery from injury illness. Please work within your capabilities, if you experience any pain then please stop. A private session with one of us can help to address your injury. If you are local you can book a treatment with us here,  


If the practices don’t feel right, follow our recovery program which uses meditation, relaxation and our methods to help other areas of the body heal and repair. 

The Strength & Soul Method is designed to fit easily and effortlessly into your life. The programmes range from 20-30 minutes with shorter classes with specific tools which can be used throughout your day or when needed. There are also longer classes in the library ranging from 45 – 90 minutes.
