STRENGTH & SOUL

Better health at work takes more than a wellbeing day.

We help organisations support the health of their people through practical, evidence-informed education, health programmes and hands-on support.

From back pain and physical health to women’s health, stress, sleep and healthy ageing, we help people understand their health better, make changes that matter and get the right support earlier.

In person, online and pre-recorded

How we spend our days is, how we spend our lives.

YOUR PEOPLE DON'T LEAVE THEIR HEALTH AT THE DOOR WHEN THEY COME TO WORK.

Back and joint pain. Poor sleep and stress. Menstrual health and menopause. Changes in strength, mobility and health as we get older. These things affect how people feel both in and outside of work.

We help organisations do something practical about them.

About US

Hello, we’re Jo & Kev Buchan,

We’re therapists trained to master level and personally mentored by physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert in his methodology. We’ve worked with thousands of clients over the years and what’s important to us is we treat the person as a whole, not just a set of symptoms or a diagnosis. Any test results are a snapshot of that moment in time and we believe you can change and even reverse your symptoms. You are not your diagnosis, you are UNIQUE and have the power to completely change your lifestyle and reverse your symptoms.

Working with clients we view you in a holistic way that means we treat the whole person, taking into account mental, emotional, environmental, seasonal factors rather than just the symptoms of a disease. The cause of a disease can be completely different even with someone who has the same symptoms. Our DNA and lifestyles are unique; jobs, hobbies, relationships, stress, family.

You have the power to change your symptoms, to relieve pain and imbalances.  With our Method, we provide you will all the tools you need.

We’re limited in the number of clients we can treat in person, this membership allows you to connect with us in a way that’s more affordable.

Strength and Soul Biggar Lanarkshire West Lothian

Our mission is for you to reverse your symptoms without the use of pharmaceuticals or relying on painkillers. But it starts with you making the decision to get better, to commit time to yourself, to make yourself a priority. This is not a quick fix, this is a lifestyle change, you will not only feel strong but happy, energised, supported and connected. You are unique and your practice should be too. To the time you have available, the style of practice you need, the season you’re in and any injuries or challenges your currently going through.

We believe the practices and tools should be sustainable and fit effortlessly into your day. It’s should feel like brushing your teeth, it doesn’t feel right when you don’t do it and it’s part of your daily routine.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Workplace wellness programs can lead to improved employee morale, increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, and a healthier, more engaged workforce, ultimately contributing to a positive work environment and lower healthcare costs.

Regular assessments can include employee feedback surveys, data analysis on participation rates and tracking the impact on absenteeism and productivity. We can discuss your requirements as a company and provide reports.

Creating a supportive and inclusive environment is key to employee engagement.  We find that when employees talk about how good they feel, other employees quickly want to feel that way too.

We provide a variety of resources for managers and employees to access which encourage employee participation. Creating a supportive environment which encourages employees to share how they feel and what they’ve done helps encourage others to participate.

Some signs that indicate the need for an improved focus on employee health and wellbeing include increased absenteeism, decreased productivity, high employee turnover rates, and a noticeable lack of employee engagement or morale.

We provide resources to help employees manage stress, anxiety, and other work-related mental health issues. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where employees feel comfortable seeking help and support, our sessions are completely confidential
